What do we provide?
Anti- Wrinkle Injections
What are Anti-wrinkle Injections? Otherwise known as Botox®, anti-wrinkle injections reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles by temporarily relaxing specifically targeted facial muscles.
Over time repeated skin folding and decreased skin elasticity, due to collagen reduction, cause permanent lines in the skin. These lines can become more noticeable as we age and can make us look older. Botulinum Toxin causes muscle relaxation for 2-4 months (on average) by temporarily disrupting nerve activity to muscles. The injected muscle can't contract which allows wrinkles to relax and soften for aesthetic and cosmetic beauty enhancing reasons.
WHAT CAN BOTULINUM TOXIN BE USED FOR?
Wrinkles between the eyebrows, called frown lines, elevens or glabellar lines
Wrinkles around the eyes, known as crows feet
Horizontal creases on the forehead
Reduce the appearance of a gummy smile.
Chin dimpling or ‘cobblestone’ skin on the chin
Facial slimming
TREATMENT OVERVIEW
Time required for treatment: 30-40 mins
Number of treatments required: Review every 3-4 months
Time until results seen: 7-14 days
Treatment longevity: 3-4 months on average (With ongoing treatments, the effects of botulinum toxin treatment may last longer as the muscle becomes weaker and smaller.)
What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are non-surgical cosmetic treatments designed to rejuvenate and enhance various areas of the face or body. They consist of injectable gel-like substances, typically composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural compound found in the skin that helps maintain hydration and volume. Dermal fillers are used to restore volume, smooth out wrinkles and fine lines and improve facial contours. Dermal fillers can be a safe and effective way to achieve natural-looking results, enhancing your features and boosting your confidence.
WHAT CAN DERMAL FILLERS BE USED FOR?
Dermal fillers offer versatile solutions for a range of aesthetic concerns. Our skilled practitioner Dr Thandeka employs dermal fillers to address:
Wrinkles and Fine Lines: Dermal fillers effectively diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, including those around the mouth, nose and chin.
Volume Loss: As we age, the natural fat pads in our face diminish, resulting in volume loss. Dermal fillers can restore lost volume, plumping up cheeks, temples, chins and under-eye hollows.
Lip Augmentation: Achieve more definition, hydrated or fuller lips with dermal fillers. We carefully inject fillers to enhance lip shape and contour, providing natural-looking results.
Facial Contouring: Dermal fillers allow us to sculpt and define facial features, such as the jawline, chin, and cheeks, creating a more balanced and youthful appearance.
Scars and acne marks: Dermal fillers can be used to fill in shallow scars and acne marks, leaving the skin looking smoother and more even.
Improving the appearance of your skin: Dermal fillers can provide a fresher and more youthful appearance by restoring lost volume in the skin.
Ageing hands: Dermal fillers can be used to rejuvenate your hands.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF DERMAL FILLERS?
One of the biggest benefits of dermal fillers is the ability to achieve natural-looking results without having to undergo surgery. They are quick and minimally invasive, meaning they do not require any significant recovery time. Other benefits include:
Customisable treatments - A-list Beauty Aesthetics can customise your treatment to meet your individual needs.
Long-lasting results - dermal fillers can last anywhere from six months to two years, depending on the treatment area and the type of filler used.
